Outfit Guide

1. Stick to Solid, Neutral Colors

Why: Solid colors keep the focus on you, not your clothing.

Best Choices: Earth tones like beige, taupe, olive, navy, and soft pastels.

Avoid: Bright neon's, bold patterns, and logos, as they can be distracting and date your photos.

2. Choose Comfortable, Well-Fitting Clothes

Why: Comfort translates to confidence, which shines through in photos.

Tips: Opt for outfits that fit well—not too tight or too loose. Ensure you can move, sit, and pose comfortably.

3. Coordinate Without Matching

Why: Coordinated outfits create a cohesive look without appearing overly uniform.

Tips: Select a color palette (e.g., soft blues and grays) and have each person wear different shades within that palette.

4. Incorporate Layers and Textures

Why: Layers add depth and interest to your photos.

Suggestions: Consider adding a denim jacket, cardigan, or scarf. Textured fabrics like knit, linen, or lace can enhance visual appeal.

5. Mind Your Footwear

Why: Shoes can complete your look and should match the formality of your outfit.

Tips: Choose clean, neutral-colored shoes. Avoid athletic sneakers unless the shoot is sporty.

6. Keep Accessories Simple

Why: Minimal accessories ensure the focus remains on you.

Suggestions: Opt for subtle jewelry and avoid large, flashy pieces.

7. Grooming and Hair

Why: Well-groomed hair and minimal makeup can enhance your natural features.

Tips: Style your hair in a way that frames your face. If wearing makeup, aim for a natural look that complements your skin tone.

8. Prepare Your Outfits in Advance

Why: Preparation reduces stress on the day of the shoot.

Checklist:

Try on outfits beforehand to ensure fit and comfort.

Iron or steam clothes to remove wrinkles.

Bring a backup outfit in case of spills or unexpected issues.
